Shenandoah Wellness & Transitional Living Center is a place of healing and community-based residential rehabilitation for injured athletes, veterans with PTSD/ trauma disorders and those affected by substance abuse. It is promoted by AKAL Institute,
a 501(c)(3) not-for- profit, private operating foundation, incorporated in 1988, certified in Virginia on August 22, 1991 and received tax exempt status on January 18, 1991 EIN 54-1511748.

Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, along the banks of the historic Shenandoah River, nestled in the abudant Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, the Shenandoah Wellness & Transitional Living Center is a stepping stone for recovering individuals to achieve fuller, healthier, responsible, self-sufficient and happy lives.

Shenandoah Wellness & Transitional Living Center offers an economical and environmentally-conscious setup which holistically provides rehabilitation and restorative services to heal.
